Introduction to Screen Acting - with Paul Dudbridge

from £25.00

Saturday 28th February 10.30 - 4.30

About the Workshop

This one-day masterclass aims to give you all you need to know about how a crew will film a scene for film and TV.

So - you’ve learnt all your lines and know your objectives but where will the camera go? How many times will you have to perform the scene? When’s your close up? What IS a close up?! What’s a “dirty over” and when is it used? The questions could be endless!

We want to teach you all you need to know about how a scene is shot so then you can just relax and focus on your contribution to the process: the acting. In this masterclass we’ll explore camera coverage, shot sizes, why they’re used, what crew you might find hanging around on set and which ones might need to talk to you about your performance.
