Although The Actors' Workshop provides advanced training and an introduction to the profession, you may wish to work more intensively in some areas - particularly dance/voice.

We recommend the following local dance schools - and are grateful to them for allowing us to work with their wonderfully talented and highly trained students!

BRISTOL AREA:

Adele Stitch School of Dancing  Tel: 01275-853797 (office hours only, please!)

Annette Adams School of Dancing. www.annetteadamsschoolofdancing.com Tel: 07729-912885

 BATH:

The Dorothy Coleburn School of Dancing. Call Annette on 01225-335087

WESTON-SUPER-MARE:

The Dance Company Call Ms Carla or Ms Marina on 01934-522959 info@learn2dance.co.uk

*If we have missed a dance school which sends pupils to the workshop, please let us know and we'll add it to our links page!*

On the vocal side, there are very few teachers around who specialise in Musical Theatre.

Call or email Clara Marullo for more advice.

(She has a waiting list, but vacancies do arise!) cgmarullo@aol.com

If you are an experienced, professional singing teacher specialising in musical theatre, do contact us and we will add a link!

Bristol has several part time drama schools for young people. The schools below offer excellent drama classes that complement the work we do at The Actors' Workshop: we believe that the more training you get, the better!!!

We suggest:

Bristol Old Vic Theatre School's "activ8" programme for 11-20 year olds. www.oldvic.ac.uk or email felicity.hazell@oldvic.ac.uk  Usually has a waiting list - but has an excellent reputation for good quality teaching.

ITV Workshop -  Catering for 5-21 year olds. Lots of TV technique, also acts as agency for TV programmes. www.itvworkshop.co.uk You can also call them on 0844-881246. Entry by audition.

The Dance Company also runs drama classes in Weston and Cheddar www.learn2dance.co.uk Small classes with excellent teaching - particularly on the dance side.  Regular shows in Weston/Cheddar.

Shakespeare At The Tobacco Factory (www.sattf.org)has a seasonal Shakespeare course, which is excellent.

For auditions and all sorts of info about drama training and practice, we recommend

THE DRAMA STUDENT (www.thedramastudent.co.uk).

Also, THE STAGE, of course!
