Although The Actors' Workshop provides advanced training and an introduction to the profession, you may wish to work more intensively in some areas - particularly dance/voice.
We recommend the following local dance schools - and are grateful to them for allowing us to work with their wonderfully talented and highly trained students!
BRISTOL AREA:
Adele Stitch School of Dancing Tel: 01275-853797 (office hours only, please!)
If you are an experienced, professional singing teacher specialising in musical theatre, do contact us and we will add a link!
Bristol has several part time drama schools for young people. The schools below offer excellent drama classes that complement the work we do at The Actors' Workshop: we believe that the more training you get, the better!!!
We suggest:
Bristol Old Vic Theatre School's "activ8" programme for 11-20 year olds. www.oldvic.ac.uk or email felicity.hazell@oldvic.ac.uk Usually has a waiting list - but has an excellent reputation for good quality teaching.
ITV Workshop -Catering for 5-21 year olds. Lots of TV technique, also acts as agency for TV programmes. www.itvworkshop.co.uk You can also call them on 0844-881246. Entry by audition.
The Dance Company also runs drama classes in Weston and Cheddar www.learn2dance.co.uk Small classes with excellent teaching - particularly on the dance side. Regular shows in Weston/Cheddar.
Shakespeare At The Tobacco Factory (www.sattf.org)has a seasonal Shakespeare course, which is excellent.
